*** Winner of the Kidsweek Nieuwsfoto 2025 (the News Photo of the Year chosen by children through Kidsweek *** Thank you for stepping into my world. At the age of ten, I was captivated by the silent magic of photography. Was it fate, a spark of eternal love, or merely a chance encounter with light? Whatever it was, it ignited a journey a wild, untamed odyssey that knows no end. After studying at the Royal Academy of Art, The Hague, photography became much more than just capturing images for me. It is a key to hidden realms, places most people pass by without a glance. In 2021 I was fortunate to receive the 1st prize in the News National (series) category of the Zilveren Camera for my series Kopje koffie op het Museumplein. Above all, it is a bridge to others to souls met in fleeting moments, in conversations that widen my view of existence. Each click of the camera is a question posed to life, an attempt to grasp the intangible, to find meaning in the ordinary. If you have thoughts, questions, or stories to share, let them drift my way.
